Lakia: The Dark Era

Santiago gave a sharp cry of alarm, but wasn't able to move quite fast enough. "Sara!" He cried out, knowing that he wasn't a soldier and couldn't hold Zenobia off for long.

"Your Sara has failed you" She laughed as she raised her claw for the final strike

A streak of gold flashed passed in front of Santiago and shouldered Zenobia away with surprising strength for someone so small. But instead of Sara, it was Emily. "Back off, Zenobia." She snarled.

"And who would you be?"

"My name is Emily, and you've just messed with the wrong person." Without waiting for Zenobia to reply, she launched herself forwards and slashed her front claws across her face, knocking her sideways with the strenth of someone much, much larger.

As she fell to the ground she dug her back paw into Emily's abdomen "Quite the spunk for such a small useless creature"

Emily sucked in a breath and knocked her across the ground again with another blow, strong enough to rattle Zenobia's teeth. Before she could recover, Emily grabbed her scruff and through her into the side of a half fallen building and watched as it crumbled around her, raining pieces of debris on top of her "You will soon find out, if you have any brains at all, that I am not useless. Nor are my fellow rebels."

As Emily was speaking, Sara stepped out of the shadows behind Santiago "Welcome to war, my amature rival." She smirked. "And this war, I intend to win."

"Got to love it when the good guys think their ahead" She laughed. "Tarik now!" She roared so loud it could be heard a few dozen yards way. "Now here's the fun part mutts" "Tarik will be igniting the natural gas in approximately 3 seconds." "You can stand here and bore me to death or try to save your pathetic rebel allies from being blown half way across Lakia"

Emily grabbed Zenobia's scruff and hauled her onto the street, pinning her down under impossibly strong paws. Surprisingly, she was laughing "Well, looks like you forgot one thing mate! Your still here, and when that gas ignites, your going to die along with the rest of us!"

"A small price to pay to rid your kind" She replied unaffected. "What kind of hero won't even save their own kind" "To think these poor folks looked to you Sara for guidance" "Ha, they actually thought they were safe"
