Lakia: The Dark Era

"You think I would?" Juniper mumbled and trotted after Hades, thickly-leaved branches slapping in her face. How can a creature bare to live in such conditions? One branch tried to catch her large wings. Juniper abruptly pulled away from it, snapping it off.
Being smaller and native to the thick, jungle-like forest, Hades had no trouble slipping through the forest. He paused to let her catch up and reply to the question. "No, I don't. But what I think doesn't matter, not to those who do not appreciate outsiders." With that said he waited for her to catch up, then continued. As they walked it became apparent that they were slowly climbing a mountain. The temperature was still warm but the air was thinner and the occasional patch of fog would roll past them on its way to sea level.
 
She nodded and watched as he flew away
 
Zenobia returned to her search
 
She stayed low to the ground keeping her feet as quiet as possible
