So there is a breed of chicken called a Ayam Cemani and it is nicknamed the Lamborghini of Poultry. One of these chickens can go for up to 2,500 dollars! I was wondering if any of you had the chance would you buy this chicken and do you think it is really worth the price?

The only reason they are so expensive is because they are imported from India and only one breeder commercially breeds them. My friend is getting a pair for $800.

2500 dollars for a spray painted chicken!? Pfft..

It is a beautiful chicken and if I could buy it for like 10 bucks I would not hesitate! It does look like someone applies a few coats of black spray paint though lol!

I would get one if I could, because I like their looks. However, I would NOT pay 2,500 for one.

Yeah for that price I think everyone would have some, but It's hard to justify 2500$.. I wonder what the eggs/chicks look like..? Lumps of coal? Lol

It is actually crazy the eggs are pitch black! Imagine getting one of those in your stocking instead of saying darn coal I would say "I am rich!!!" lol. Yes I do not think it is worth 2500 but if I had 2500 sadly I can say... I would probably buy one lol.

Their eggs are just a regular cream color.
