Its easy to panic a bit when something you are not sure how to handle pops up- regardless of if its ducks... or just life in general. My rule of thumb is do the best you can at the time - when you can do more ..do it.
You could rush her to a vet and be lumped with a huge bill.. or she may be wandering around perfectly fine in the morning- not knowing which way to go is difficult- but sometimes the best option in making that decision is to wait a little while and reassess. If she was attacked by something and wouldnt stop bleeding- then the decision is easy to make.. Not knowing exactly what has caused this is the hard part.
