Ok, so normally when a bird is minorly injured I leave them be apart from basic care to see if time will heal. 90% of the time this is effective.
However, my Guinea hen was attacked by something while I was away on vacation about three weeks ago, and her at the time limp has progressed into, not using the leg at all.
The joint of her leg is swollen but not hot. Her mate, the only other Guinea hen and male, is always by her side and worries over her constantly.
Removing her will require catching him to, which is difficult but not out of the question. I'm sure I can figure it out.
So!
What should I do? Leave it? Treat her with something? Any suggestions?
