I have a hen that is perky as can be. Eating, drinking but unstable on her feet. She’s over 2 years old and I was worried about Mareks, but her feet aren’t completely paralyzed. And from what I’ve read it’s not meeting all those marks, plus she’s a little old to be showing symptoms?

It’s more like she’s a toddler that keeps falling backward on her hocks or forward on her breast’s.

I have her isolated just in case, and I have raised hens for 5 years now and have never seen anything like this.

I read about nutrient deficiency and tried vitamins. I don’t think she’s egg bound. I tried dewormer.

I did see a vet video on YouTube showing a hen with metal toxicity and her walking looks just like this. Does anyone have experience with that? What treatments did you pursue?

My Lemon Cuckoo Niederrheiner pullet went lame she was still eating and drinking i took her away from the other chickens and put her in a cage. she just layed on her side she couldn't get up but she would move her legs. she looked healthy but then she was in the cage for like a month and then i just had to put her down.

😔 sad. Thank you for sharing your experience.
