lame hen

We have a hen come up lame this morning. Tiptoe when walking on that leg and holding it up when still. We also noticed the sound leg has a little rosy hue through it, and the lame leg is just yellow. The bottom of her foot looks good, and when she was on my son's are she showed no signs of foot soreness and he said the weight felt even between the two feet. Not sure where to look to further pinpoint what it might be.

Do you have pictures? Is she eating and drinking anything?

Could you post a few pictures of the leg and the bottom of the foot? Has it been extremely cold there in the past few weeks? Does her foot seem numb when she walks on it?

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I went out to take pictures and she was running around normally! I didn't wash her foot entirely so we're thinking she may have had some residual dirt, but she will be monitored going forward.
