lame, won't stand-won't eat

my chicken acts like her hips hurt. not sure if she hurt herself getting down from the roost or what. i've got her in a kennel so she can rest & not move around alot. she'll stand-then almost immediately sit down on her honches (?) not a normal sit anyway. she's not eating or drinking. i've tried cooked egg, yogurt, scratch. i set her outside yesterday & she picked a few blades of grass. any ideas anyone? she's probably about 5 yrs old. i haven't tried any meds. i checked & no lice or mites. her feet are find.
