Knowing that the years of work put into Mr. Gerdes' flock was not lost would be wonderful to hear. Does the flock still exist? and if so, has progress been made with them?

Looking for relatives of Marion R Nash for a project I am working on. Mr. Nash was a noted breeder of Lamonas and his work made it possible for others to enjoy this great breed.

i am going to be getting some lamonas soon...the guy is 65 and have been raising them for a long time...im trying to find out if the guy has somesort of paperwork with these birds....and such...im so excited...

not really sure right now...i have to travel a good ten hours to go see this guy...i guess he showed/s them in illinois...and i havnt talked to the guy yet its all going thru my family...so there is a middle man right now...but i know that he is credible and has been raising them for a while...we got on the subject of rare birds....and he said he had this bird...i had no idea what the bird was until i looked it up...now i know...sounds cool...all white bird...might as well since ill have the all black bird soon enough...

been working on lamonas for a few years , , dont show them much , as I am picky , and they are usually out of condition as I keep them to breed only at this point , but I have a pic from a breeding pen this year taken about 2 weeks ago , I am using a male with slightly longer legs than desired for fertility , the hens all have really nice type , again this is out of a breeding pen.
