I got these chickens from an older guy I wanted some leghorns but he told me they where some strain his family had always had called Lamnons or something. So did I get the name wrong or was he just confused about them not being Leghorns. He was getting rid of his chickens so they were free.

I believe thats what he said he thought they were...I got the name wrong. You think their a cross huh. That sucks, think they'll still lay as many eggs as a leghorn? lol anyway.

Well leghorns are a egg laying machine ..

Chris

What color eggs should they lay? Anyone have any ideas? or what else they're crossed with.

Lamonas are supposed to lay a white egg. There is another thread about Lamonas going on right now, do a search for it. There is a link to an article and some pictures. Thanks for sharing pics of your birds. I wish they WERE Lamonas! Keep us posted. Do you know how old yours are?

After looking at the post I wish they were Lamonas too, and I have no idea how old they are but they're a pretty good size now but I've seen no eggs yet. I don't think their full grown yet because the guy had killed the others for the freezer these were the ones he had left. Also do all white chickens lay white eggs or is that a myth.

I cannot tell for sure just from those pictures especially not knowing the age!
Look for yourself on the feathersite and see what you think.
