Landlord won't allow chickens?

I am wondering if anyone out there knows of a great source of information that I could give to my landlords about raising chickens. They are nervous about this and I want to see if they might be willing if I give them information.

Some things that I would be interested is information about why chickens are good for the property and how they would actually hurt the property less than a cat for example.

Quite frankly, chickens WILL have more of an impact than will a cat. As to what to say to convince the landlord that chickens will be ok, ask what his/her specific concerns are, and then provide the answers to those. I am assuming that chickens are legal on the property--if not, that is a whole additional issue.
