Landscape posts

My whole complete coop & run is made from landscape timbers except for the plywood! I get them on sale for $1.99 at Home Depot. We used them as posts for about 5 acres of fencing. Yes you can get a lot of twisted ones. If you buy them individually you can check them as you load them up. If you buy pallets like us you can either use them for something else of return them and get better ones. Your never stuck with the bad one if you don't wanna be.

The landscape timbers are pressure treated while they are green, and they will warp as they dry out. Same can be said of the 4 x 4 PT timbers, but
since they are dimensionally larger the warp won't be as great. For real stability, go with the 4 x 6 PT timbers, but that is a bit of overkill for a chicken
coop.
