Thanks. I bought 3 langshan from two different hatches. The one from 9/4 was sold as "splash" so he's at 8w3d. The other 2 are from 8/24. All combs are turning pink but this one's got a little bigger overnightLooks male.
The color is splash.
I actually had the same thought, because while it has a large size it doesn't have much color.Do they comb up early like Marans sometimes do, @EmmaRainboe? I ask because that's still quite pale pink for a cockerel.
It makes me worry because the other 2 still have smaller and lighter combs while being a week older. This one got bigger/brighter in the past few days. I'm keeping an eye out for it and how its comparing to the other langshans. Nothing in behavior is screaming room. And the feathers are more ruffled so I can't tell anything there (not that I'm great at it anyway)I actually had the same thought, because while it has a large size it doesn't have much color.
But I couldn't find anything about them being early combers.
Definitely will, and I have a BLRW that many here have said looks male that I'm keeping an eye on. The comb on the langshan got brighter and bigger in the past few days while the other ones haven't so has me wondering.Post updated pics in a few more weeks for us @CoconutCoffee! It does look like a cockerel, but it's just a bit odd that he's not more red. So for now I'm leaning cockerel, but really on the fence.
