Well I see the resemblance so it's some sort of dark brahma cross in my opinion and I would say rooster?? it looks like it has been dubbed maybe

Not dubbed, just a youngster. He will be a beautiful dark Brahma rooster when grown. By the way, they are slow growers, taking up to 2 years to reach full body size.

brahmas have pea combs, they dont get very large
