Large flock of 200 + what wormer can I use?

I have poked around the web and on BYC and the info is either too old, or for a handful of birds. I have a large flock 200-400 birds free ranging. Some are small chicks a couple months old and up in age. I would like a wormer that I can treat each bird individually with a syringe to the beak. something with no egg withdraw would be nice. We have Large round worms that we know of, wouldn't doubt that others exist. Would rather treat individually so I know that it has been done.

LOL. This would be a good time to see if a 500ml bottle of valbazen will treat up to 400 birds....better buy two bottles. You can order it from Jefferspet.com.
Currently all wormers have a withdrawal period. If you believe that you or a family member might be susceptible to a reaction from residue in eggs, toss them in the garbage for two weeks after the last dosing. Dont sell nor give away eggs during that period. We eat the eggs after using Valbazen, I'm still here typing.

Administer 1/2cc orally to each chicken, redose in 10 days to kill hatched larva missed during the first dosing.
Worming up to 400 birds might take 2 or 3 days to worm each one since your birds free range. I hope you have someone available to hold a bird for you while you dose them as well as one or two other people to help corral them into a pen.

An easy way to worm that many birds is to worm by breed if possible, different breeds each day.
Or, If they are all one breed or even different breeds, leg bands work and color wouldnt matter to signify a group has been wormed.
Then when you redose in 10 days, simply remove the leg bands. That way you'll know what birds got wormed.

I've helped worm just over 100 birds and it took only about an hour to worm all of them. Of course everything was pre-staged and all the birds were penned. There were 5 of us doing it at the time. I was doing the worming, one person holding the bird and the rest catching them in the pens. It was like an assembly line.

Am I not understanding some of the technical terms (entirely possible)? We are positive on the round worms so I definitely need to check that box. Thank you for your time and help.

Would it not be practical to put it in their water supply? They all have to drink. If it's as dry where you are as where I am, they won't have any water options other than what you provide. But, what do I know? I've never wormed a bird!

Hi Lazyg, I thought about it but they free range over almost 2 acres so I have multiple water stations. We have other animals as well, horses, dogs, and cats and when it rains here we get standing water as well. The only way I know they get dosed properly is to do it individually.
I get a lot of poultry products from Premier 1, I will place a call to them today maybe they have some suggestions on product and dose.

Why not keep them penned up for a couple of days with the medicated water? So what they are used to free ranging they will survive a few days penned up, then again on 2nd dose.

Valbazen kills every known type of worms that chickens can get, including all types of roundworms.

Thank you, Dawg53, going to place order today. They all coop at night so my plan was to do before release. But now I am thinking do it at night as the settle in. It will be cooler at that time too. A plan...I have a plan! Thank you all for your time..
