Large growth on chicken comb

My 3-4 month roo has a single growth on his comb that’s just gotten larger and weirder looking. He is free ranges and fight do occur sometimes I’m wondering if it could be an infected injury or something like fowlpox.

I can’t see why. Do you have other cockerels? How many pullets or hens? They have a pecking order, and if you remove him, he will be more likely attacked when he returns. If separation is needed, place him in a wire dog crate, covered, and place food and water inside. But if he is not being targeted, let them try to work it out.

Yeah we have others but he is now developing the white spot that you’d see with fowl pox
