So i have a flock of mixed birds with two turkeys joining them soon and i want to expand the coop.
Its clear the previous owners must of had a relatively small flock as the coop had no roosts or nesting boxes, both if which we have added. For reference we have 18 chickens and 7 ducks who all are in the coop and i feel it desperately needs to be expanded to give them all more space. We coop all of our birds at night due to one of our ducks getting killed by a predator at night a few months back. Any coop ideas?

Welcome to the forum from from Louisiana, gad you joined.

Sounds more like a shelter than a coop, maybe for Cornish X meat birds or some other animals. But that really doesn't matter.

Yes, it is a whole lot easier if we know what you are working with. Photos are always fun and can really help. Size in feet or meters of the coop/shelter and whatever outside area you have can be beneficial. Your general location can tell us about your weather. If you stick around this forum, and I hope you do, adding your location to your profile means it's always available. Even just knowing which side of the equator you are on can sometimes be beneficial.

Personally I don't like to house ducks and chickens together. Ducks need water and can be really messy with it. I've kept a turkey with chickens before, no real problems. My first thought would not be an expansion, but to build a separate coop/shelter for one or the other.

As far as plans go, if you look at the to of this page you should see an "Articles" tab. If you open that tab you will see a "coops" section. There are a lot of coops in there, many of them with plans. That would be the first place I looked.
