Large neck open wound with wheezing from hawk attack

Well, it has been a week and she seems to be doing remarkably well. Here is a picture just before applying the Neosporin. Her eating and pooping are both plentiful and normal. She has developed a trick of vigorously shaking her head when we apply the ointment. šŸ˜ The wheezing sound stopped, so we are assuming it was from the initial stress of the attack.

13 days later, this is what she looks like. She has lots of energy and continues to eat and poop plentifully. She seems downright offended when we apply the ointment and has been shaking her head and preening her feathers since we applied it about 10 minutes ago, even ignoring treats. šŸ˜ This picture is of her with the Neosporin on (what remains of it after her vigorous shaking that is!) šŸ˜
