I have read about and looked at photos of avian pox, but the scabs on my 5-month-old cockerel look larger, and there are no little white things. I am including photos. He is a sweetie, and he was bullied by some who matured more quickly. I have since separated all of my cockerels. He became somewhat lethargic a couple of days ago, so he is now being coddled in the house. He eats, drinks, and poops - looks normal. Crop fills and empties correctly. No respiratory distress is evident. My others all have varying comb dings here and there (most will be for meat), but they are healing. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I will check his mouth in the morning - thank you. With nothing else developing on his eye, ear, and mouth skin, I am hoping it is not pox.
If it is fowl pox [ a common mosquito borne virus] it should resolve on its own unless complicated with internal lesions. Your bird should recover just fine. Good Luck!:D
