You said it isn't coyotes but it sure does look like coyote poop to me. There is a persimmon trees next to us and the coyotes have eaten some of the fruit and I have seen the seeds from the fruit in their poop and it looks like the pictures you posted. My guess would be a pack of coyotes. Here they don't usually run in packs but I have seen some. If you have a camera put it up because whatever it was will most likely be back and was lurking looking for an opportunity and then you will know for sure what you're dealing with. Good luck..

I agree that it looks just like the coyote poop I grew up seeing in East Texas. Like identical.

Haven't seen any indications around coop, just the drain tile. Apparently they ARE stealthy predators? My poor goonies.

Coyotes are a very versatile predator. In urban settings and in large groups they can be quite bold. Rural areas where they are not used to close contact with humans usually makes them behave a bit wilder. In the three years I've been on the current property I've only seen one and that was in broad daylight. She was very nervous, paid the birds no real attention and moved on. I hear them, but never super close to the house.
