Large walk in coop/ run for free range - suggestions

Hello friends—- I have 1 hen and 4 chicks. They like to roam around my backyard and we don’t feel safe leaving them out unsupervised. I have the Producer's Pride Sentinel Chicken Coop but it just seems so small. Can anyone recommend a good long run that is safe where they can free range unharmed? Thanks

Figure about $1 per square foot to build a large run with the the post and guy wire method.

If you're not going to build, I suggest chain link panels, either dog kennel or not, reinforced with chicken wire. Many people including myself use that.

You could consider a hoop run. That's an easy build for people with limited DIY skills.

..... but, they cannot really free range in a run. No matter how large the run (within reason) they will deplete the forage and it will become barren ground eventually.
