I find eggs like this often and was wondering what causes it? This one was wet as you can see in the pic. Normal?

Sometimes I find egg like this one in their nest. I read somewhere in this site that eggs come out like that due to calcium buildup. Not sure if that is the real reason. They taste the same to me.

Every now and then a hen may lay an egg that is sandy in appearance. sometimes this jusy may be due to the genetics of the individual hen. This condition may also appear in increased frequency in older hens and or if a hen has been frightened. The incidence may also increase in hot weather. Feedung a complete and balanced layer feed with high levels of calcium may help to reduce this incidence.

My geese are 7 months and I was wondering what to feed them they just started laying and and I don't know if I have a male or not
How big should the eggs be?
I was also wondering what to do if my ducklings have mites they're only a week
Finally what should I do about the goose I think is a male his Poop is very runy
What should I feed them if I'd like to show them they are white honest and 7 months.

All the best ruby

I get an egg like that now and then, sometimes it rubs off when i wash them. Kinda wierd. My birds have 2 water sources, one clean from a nipple and one little pond thats pretty dirty. They get a ton of calcium though through eggshells mixed in their feed.
