I was thinking, I will be adding some more hens to my flock and I was wondering what breed lays the largest brown egg. Has anybody heard of white jersey giant hens?
I will be ordering chicks in the end of May.
:D

Why don't you get a Emu?

Often large breeds lay smaller eggs. Sex links will often lay larger eggs, as well as other egg laying breeds.

First years eggs are smaller, second year eggs are fewer but larger.

:lau I have always wanted one but my mom will not let me get one. If I did she would kill me!
She let me get cranes instead. :D

Ok. Do the hens live long. I will have them as pets and layers. I have one hen I forgot what breed she is but she is 5 1/2 right now and lays the biggest eggs in the coop. How about Delaware?

Trust me i know how you feel. When I was a kid all i wanted was a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and my mom said no. Now the are extinct. Yes I'm that old :lau
