One of our chickens lay a lash egg a few days ago. It was pretty easy to tell which one based on the small size of the flock and the fact that the others all lay normal and recognizable eggs on the same day. She's an ex-battery hen so she's been through some stuff historically but has been acting normally before laying the egg and is continuing to act normally now. Around 2-2.5 yrs old. She's in a small quarantine crate right now and I'm wondering what to do. Is it a bad idea to put her back into the run/coop with the others? I kind of want to give her a chance to recover, but our tiny sick bay is a poor quality of life for a bird long-term. It feels weird to cull her considering how normal she's behaving right now (aside from some sneezing), but if she can't safely return then I will.
