Hi, I'm new to posting so here goes.
I have a Bluebell named......Bluebell. We have had her about a year and she has never laid an egg. This is not a problem as she's a pet and fun to have around the garden. She's always been feisty and never been keen on being handled.
This morning however, she was acting a bit weird in as much as she actually approached me and was quite chatty, she doesn't even do this when the scraps go out. Suddenly she started to act as if she was going to go to the toilet and this weird thing came out. It was all rubbery and looked like (sorry to the squeamish) a fetus.
She seems fine, eating, drinking, bullying the others and generally as normal , an angry bird.
Help does anybody have any ideas??

Hi, sorry I'm not experienced enough to answer your question, but will be watching the replies with interest. I just thought I'd introduce myself as I'm also from the UK and have a bluebell called...Aggie! But I am guilty of having an Amber Star called Amber!!! My Bluebell is also a real character, we've only had her about 3 months, but she's laying well and will chase you down the path for food/petting/getting into the kitchen! I hope you get some good replies, there are some very experienced people on here! :)

Need a pic.
Best to cut it in half, then take another pic.
Something in the pic for scale would help,
usually I say a quarter but you're in the UK,
so maybe a tape measure or ruler of some sort.

Tho I see that your thread title already suspects a lash egg,
you may have already researched it and answered your own question.
Ken's link does not discuss lash eggs, that I saw.

Hi aart, Sorry I cant send you a picture as I had to pick it quickly. The other girls were looking to eat it and I just couldn't go there. It was about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. I just wondered if it had anything to with the fact she has never laid an egg. I did do a bit of research but there is not much information on this subject. Keeping fingers crossed that she's going to be fine.
