10/11 eggs have hatched. The last one pipped and since then nothing has happened. The membrane is now starting to go off colour and tough, and I see the chicks beak poking out but he’s not attempting to zip at all. Do I leave him for the night? I’m worried he’s exhausted and will just die.

All good. I sort of helped a bit and then put him back and left him for the night. He is out this morning but seems weak. I put him in with his siblings because I think being around them will encourage him, and also to get him away from the heavy humidity of the incubator and into the warm dry brooder. We will see how he does.

Oh, okay. Glad he's out!

He’s doing fantastic. Being around his buddies did wonders for him. He found his legs and finished fluffing and now we can barely tell him apart from the other 16. Eating, drinking and being crazy. So cute.
