Happened to look outside a minute ago... just in time to see my roo mate with my BA. She was completely submissive to him, not a peep out of her, and afterward he STOOD on her back for a few seconds (cocky thing!

She finally did it! My beautiful Black Australorp, Betty, laid a gorgeous brown egg! The one on the left is hers (the discoloration is from my wet hand) and the one on the right is a store bought, size large egg. Wow, she did GREAT for a first timer, didn't she?
