Last night, my three hens did not come home.... :( :( :( UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think as long as they are getting along and no one draws blood then you are all set. I am so glad she came home!!

THANK YOU!!!
I am also glad. I am going to watch them all together very carefully for a few days.
As of now, they are fine...

I think she will be pretty happy being part of a flock again with a caring owner. Just put them inside the coop if you are going out....they will probably feel
more secure that way anyway.

I am so pleased you got one back. Now do yourself a favor and don't let them free range when you are not with them! Build a totally enclosed run. They still get to free range and you get to quit worrying so much! This is probably going to be my last flock, lost my first 2 to predators. I would love to have them running free but it is not possible were I am. Way to dangerous for them.

If they get along fine so far and she seems happy then I think its a great idea to leave her with them. They may argue a little bit and peck a little but itll all get sorted out and like you said this is her new flock. I doubt her being the only older chicken will be a problem. Good luck with them.

Excellent advice from DianaM. The predator will return now that it knows that your birds are there.

i am keeping them in a small fenced in area with their coop today. it is part of a lean-to - so they are covered.
