This is my half completed chicken coop. I "borrowed" ideas from the 3rd Coast Craftsman (whose plans I bought...), Carolina Coops, and numerous others... I wanted an attached (5X8 ft shed) to go with the 5X8 ft. raised Chicken coop. You can see all the ventilation window (on all 4 sides of the coop) and the Run Chicken automatic door. The siding only got its first coat of paint. The self designed roll out egg box is inside the shed out of sight (and the weather), The shed will also house the 50 gal watering system ( replenished by rain off the roof eventually) and all the chicken feed and supplements. We plan to use the deep litter method for our 10 chickens. We'll move this out eventually on 10 ft PVC rollers to a close location 5 yards West of this large RV barn.

I am just about start the coop/shed roof, but will also complete 10 by 10 ft. run as soon as I can... as November in Idaho is just around the corner...

This is the retention pond near my house. Slopes away to the left and is about 7 foot deep with water this morning.

My precious one year old sourdough starter got cleaned out the fridge 3 days ago, and my neighbor was very nice to give me some of hers. This is her starter after being fed

Working on building these guys a larger pen. They were allowed out of their current pen to “help” but at 3 months old they are still imprinted. They patiently waited on the patio while I took a water and AC break.
