I have many questions about the hova bator genesis.

1. How do I make sure that I can maintain the same temp 24/7?
2. If I don't get the automatic egg turner, than is it okay if I turn the eggs every early morning at around 7:15 and every afternoon at around 4:!5? If not, then when?
3. How often does the auto egg turner turn the eggs?
4. How often do I need to change out the water for humidity?
5. What humidity and temperature range do I need to keep it at?
6. What has your best hatch rate been with this incubator?

Thank you. And sorry if I'm annoying everyone with the questions... if I have any more, I'll ask them here.

#1 - You cant. Murphy's law goes into effect at lockdown. There seems to always be a spike in temp a few days before hatch. Keep a close eye on the temp. Keep it in a room with a stable temperature.
#2 - Yes, that will work, & again right before you go to bed would help, but not mandatory
#3 - I think about once an hour
#4 - Don't change it, just add to it until the hatch is over
#5 - Mine stays at 35% humidity for 18 days , then I jump it to 60% for the last 3 days. Temperature stays at 99.5
#6 - When I was useing this model & hatching "mail order" eggs, I got probably 30-40% hatch rate.

Since then I have purchased a Sportsman 1502 & hatch my own eggs . My hatch rate is 95-98%.

Okay, thanks. I read a post about keeping the temperature at 102f. Can I not do that?

The Genesis 1588 is a forced air. Temp needs to be 99.5 all 21 days +/- .5 degrees.

x2

102 degrees is for still air incubators

Okay. Is the brinsea octagon a still air?

Or for someone that cannot seem to get it lower and they hatch on day 19
