I was going to try to get pictures as my one egg progressed, but it didn't do much last night or early this morning, so I didn't bother taking more pictures, though I did check several times to see if it was still alive, and of course it was. Had to run to the vet this morning, and guess what? That silly little chick finished zipping in the two hours I was gone! Will post pictures of the lone chick later.

Well, I have some early hatchers...two of my speckled sussex are out. They are due Thurs a.m. I had got 12 from my sister in Md and brought them back. I locked down 11. I also have two barbezieux mix from my own crew.

I locked down the ones due Saturday early. I have some barbezieux that were shipped across country- 8 in lockdown and 4 hona eggs.

Where do you get those plastic trays for them to hatch out into?

The trays are from Brinsea, and are called "universal trays", they come with the plastic slats to separate egg rows. The come standard with the Ova Easy cabinets, but can be purchased on their own.

They also come with pegs so that you can invert one tray on top of another to keep the chicks from falling out of the trays.
