Late hatch chick question

What Are the odds that this guy will make it? I picked it up with another one today. Any thoughts?

Why wouldn't it make it? How late did it hatch? Did it hatch on it's own?

Some warmth, water, and correct feed... if all internal system are a go it will thrive.

For anyone struggling a little poultry nutri drench in the water is helpful. And I always crush my feed crumbles a little extra the first week.

I'm not sure how late. More just concerned that even though it hatched yesterday and is dry it still is not fluffy. It's hatchmate is fluffy. I'm watching them all to make sure it doesn't get picked on. If they start picking on it I'll bring it in with another little guy. Picture is of little guy and hatchmate that I got.

That's just dried 'hatch gunk'...it'll fluff up in a day or so.
Or you can help it by gently preening it yourself with finger tips or a dry soft toothbrush.

A toothbrush works great..Use your husbands or your wife's.....
