Just hatched out 18 chicks ... 1 really struggled to get out its shell. Had to help it a little at a time as I kept coming up against veins in the membrane. Took a total of 36 hours for the poor mite to hatch. By this time I was completely invested in this lil ones survival. It was floppy and weak and its poor toes were almost fists they were so curled. Tbh I didn't think I would survive past the hour.
But with my time fully invested I wanted to give the lil one a good fight. So I popped it on heat and taped its feet, dribbled some water along its beak and some egg food on some tweezers. So damn fiddly to do with a button
Now it's zooming round the brooder with my 3 other keepers like none of tht happened!! So say hello to little Hope ❤
This lil soul is a survivor but I won't be hatching any eggs from her/him.
