I have 2 Narragansett hens that both had clutches of eggs this spring. One successfully hatched & is raising 3 chicks. The other had her nest destroyed by a fire while she was brooding. Successful mom has been laying eggs for me all summer, almost 1 a day, and since she's been rsising her chicks I've just been collecting & eating them. I have never seen or found a nest for my other hen untill today. They were hidden back in a large lilac bush & there were even some chicken eggs mixed in. I know my tom has been breeding her, so I'm assuming they're fertile. If I leave her to her business, will she try to hatch a clutch this late in the year?

Yes she will try to hatch them. Definitely remove the chicken eggs.

Young turkeys are poults, not chicks.

I have a couple every year with 2nd or 3rd nests . Usually I have predator issues since they don't want to use the coops because of the older Poults. Had a baby skunk wandering around the poultry yard last evening.

I have one sitting on 12 eggs. I noticed her missing and it took a week or so to see her at the feed. So I think she's due around the 16th.
