Lathe screws

I was worried that regular staples on the hardware cloth would eventually rust or loosen. So I went to Home Depot and found screws used for holding metal wire lath usually for stucco jobs. It’s a 3/4” screw with a built in washer that does a great job on permanently securing wire products.
I know there is a stainless steel staple but the lathe screws are a lot cheaper.

I know there is a stainless steel staple but the lathe screws are a lot cheaper.
There are also 3/4" long galvanized poultry staples that work but obviously not as easily removed if you need to. I don't see me needing to remove the HC I've installed and secured with the poultry staples.

Of course there’s no need to remove the staples you have. This is just a much stronger and longer lasting alternative to regular staple gun products.
