I have already learned a lot from reading old threads. Thanks to everyone for lots of suggestions and information!
I have 4 backyard chickens and also recently hatched some chicks in an incubator for the first time.
The chickens are a Plymouth Rock (May 2019), Blue Andalusian (May 2019), Blue Cochin (Oct 2019), Easter Egger (Oct 2019). Spending a bit of time this month working on a new coop and building a better backyard run. I've been rolling the chickens in and out of my garage daily in a repurposed kennel with wheels but I am ready to invest in a stationary option that is fortified against nighttime predators.
The first incubator hatch that I just attempted did not go as well as I had hoped, but I'm hoping to learn lots from this community to give myself (and the eggs) a better shot in the future!
