Hi, we have two chickens about a year old. One production red named Muffin and an Orpington named Cupcake. They have a coop that they go into at night but are free range during the day. We have a three-quarter acre yard which they share with my three dogs. Everyone gets along pretty well except that my production red, Muffin likes to run up behind my Bouvier When he's getting a drink of water and pecking on the butt. Muffin also likes to pack and chase my little Boston terrier who sometimes turns around and chases her back Until she gets pecked in the head and decides it isn't a fun game anymore. I convinced my husband to allow me to have the chickens so that they could take care of our horrible scorpion problem. They have been a great way to control pests without bugs spray. Before we got the chicken we had four or five scorpions in the house every day. Now I find one every month or two And when I do I grabb it by the tail and feed it to the chickens!
