Any update on this chick?  Would love to see an updated pic and how its feathering in 

Will get better pics, we had a bad thunderstorm right before I took these and he got in the mud before I caught him... ignore the brownish tint, tried to clean him up, lol... not dark though...

Very dark slate legs...

Every feather looks like it was dipped in liquid smoke...

This was prepared and sent to the chairman of the Standards Committee, Walt Leonard, following our members vote to move forward with the approval process at our general meeting, in November 2015.

just took a look at the link listed above.... is it just me or does the picture of the "self blue" hen in the gallery look really dark to you guys? Looks just like a blue hen without the lacing to me. I cull for birds with that coloration. I am doing something wrong? Shouldn't the color be much lighter?
