I got a surprise package in the mail yesterday. Inside, were 24 Lavender Ameraucana hatching eggs! I had mo idea I was getting them. I put them in the incubator this morning.

Well, I email the lady the week before, and she never responded so I figured that i wouldn't get any. Well, I came home and found that she did ship them, jus forgot to email me. I still have to pay though. $55. Is that a good deal?

Depends on quality... price alone won't show that...

Here of some of her birds:

What do you think? Some of her birds don't lay blue eggs, some also lay olive and a blue ish green. But that doesn't bother me because I'm using them for my lavender Naked Neck project.

For a NN project, you got a good deal... egg color can vary, but olive is a bit of a stretch...

There's a lot of fretting in those though... that's gonna take work to improve feather quality...

You won't see lavender from your first cross, so you'll have to cross back to them to get the color... that will also hold the fretting in as well... I suggest getting another lavender line to breed back to, one with better feather quality...
