Lavender Breeds

That's right. They can be shown as AOV for the breed. Showing them is how new colors get recognized.

Lavender Ameraucanas too! Growing out a really pretty mottled lav Orp girl --- she should be just the right age to show as a pullet at the State Fair.

I apologize for asking so many questions but I am learning.. what is the AOV class? all these abrivations ahhh is there a list somewhere its like learning the texting abrev. hahah
 
AOV = all other verities. In this class you can show a verity that is not recognized in the breed you are showing. Showing birds in this class is part of the process of getting new verities recognized by the American poultry association and American bantam association. However a bird shown in this class can not place higher than best of verity.
