So I have a roo and want to know everything about the lavender orps so
let me know what i need to know and if i should get a hen

I have found my lavender Orps to be personable, easy going, and good flock members. Lavenders can have the shredded feather gene so they can sometimes look a bit frayed—instead of smooth intact feathers. I do find the lavenders to be more susceptible to illnesses, in all breeds—so make sure they eat a balanced diet and get extra vitamins now and then. They make the CUTEST babies sooo you may need a hen too!

I ended up with lavender Orps by accident when I was not looking to ever get any. They are growing on me.
