Lavender Orpington 5 weeks

This 5 week old Orpington has some giant red wattles! I know nothing about Orpingtons, so I thought I come here to ask. Is this a for sure cockerel or do orpington pullets ever get wattles this size at 5 weeks? Thank you all!

I think that's a blue Orphington, not a Lavender. And it appears to be a cockerel, as the comb and wattles are huge for only being five weeks. Very cute!

uh oh, I purchased as a lavender Orpington. Not that it really matters, as it’s adorable either way Thanks so much for your reply, I agreed that they are huge!

I've had several Orpingtons ... Yours does look like a Lavender in color, you can search Lavender Orpingtons on the internet and see the colors. Orpington are slow maturing and do have wattles/combs. Comb looks "yellow" and I'm thinking pullet but best to repost pics at 8wks.

It looks blue to me too lol. That looks like a steely blue gray. Mine are a light purply grey. I would wait a couple weeks on gender, that one looks like it could go either way still.
