Has anyone attempted a lavender Orpington too over a white silkie hen cross before? Have pictures? I'm wanting to try this and just curious if anyone has before.

Silkies are recessive white, and lavender is also recessive. I would guess that in the first generation you would produce black birds with crests, beards, walnut combs, five toes, and black skin. They won't have silkie feathers, which are recessive.

Pretty sure my first chick to hatch is from a lavender orph mom and white silkie dad. Has anyone else done it since this thread?

Yea I have a white silkie roo and breed my lavender Orpington and got blacks and lavenders.

a bit late to the party but anyway i just hatched what i’m assuming is a splash(??) not really sure how that happened. from a lavender orpington hen and a white silkie roo (yeah, little dude has mad game). the silkie roo has more of a pea comb than walnut, from a local hatchery i believe so, you know how it goes, and the lavender orpington is from meyer hatchery. this is their cockerel, he looks like christopher walken. 4 toes, clean legs. pics of the parents below.
