My daughter's so upset because we've been told that her 6 wk old LO chick is a roo & she knows we can't have roosters where we live so it would need to be rehomed. Thus chick has recently been going after the California Grey chick for some odd reason and when it does the comb & wattle seem to get even brighter pink/reddish.
What's do y'all think?

Unfortunately with a comb and wattles that big at 6 weeks it is a boy. It's always the favourite isn't it?!

It sounds like it wants to spar with your California Grey chick (both boys and girls will have sparring matches to sort out the pecking order).

I was afraid of that😣
We'll the California Grey gives it right back to him and the Blue Austrolorp just stands back like she's eating popcorn & sittin in a lawn chair🤦
