I got about 4 lavender orpington chicks that were born in January, and 2 ended up pullets, we had one pullet die overnight for no apparent reason in about March/April and then just this weekend had the other pullet die for no apparent reason. Is their a fatal gene in Lavender Orpingtons that anyone knows about? The woman that bought into them with me also lost a few pullets inexplicably. The cockerels are fine, only the hens seem to be frail. Any ideas?
