lavender orpington rooster

Does this make them stop being mean to everyone? If a small child visited, would they be safe? Please let me know. I think I would be afraid to ever get another rooster, but I did think it was good for the hens to have him. And yeah, the spinning my rooster around made me a bit sad, however; as much as he hurt me and made my life miserable, my sympathy didn’t run as deep as it normally would have.
Well, I understand that. And I have culled 3 aggressive roosters, so don't thin I am saying that's the wrong thing to do.

I was just giving you something to think about, but I would never endanger a child. You know him and we don't, but if you think he can be rehabilitated, I was just giving you some information for that. If you want to give him away, be sure the new owner knows what you've dealt with.

Just one more thought...the meaner the rooster, the better the broth. :lau

Can some one tells me how much is a lavender orpington rooster? I want to sale mine but I don’t know how much they go for, I got it as a chick 🐥 but now he is grown and attacking me and my 6 year old daughter.
Thank you.
I have one too! He was $22 as a chick! The buff Orpingtons were $2. These guys are expensive and rare to the USA.

The odd thing about my Lavender Orpingtons was, I bought them at a local farm store, not realizing they might be costly. All their other chicks were $3 so I thought these were. I got home and looked at the receipt only to realize they charged me $120 for 4 LO chicks. I called and said, wow, those are some expensive chicks! Is this right? They looked into it and decided there was a problem and refunded the difference between the $30/chick and $3/chick. Now I'm wondering if I got away with a fast one. That was not my intent. I was just shocked!

Now I'm so glad I have them. They are beautiful!! I am having some difficulty with my cockerel too, as I have stated, but I'm working with him and have every intention of keeping him. We may have worked it out, but time will tell.

The best thing to do to bond with a rooster, make them nice to you, and show them whose boss is to hold them on your lap with a towel or old blanket on your lap while watching some Netflix. Sitting with them for 15-45 minutes every couple days will do the trick!

My Lavender rooster began to charge me and my dog as turned into the rooster that he is. All I had to do was hold him while watching a movie and he’s never been mean since. He did nip at me one day so I watched another movie with him 😎

I did pick him up for a few minutes today, just talking to him and petting him until she was quite calm about it and making sweet sounds. But, I'll never be bringing one in the house. For one thing, the coop is about 100 yards from the house.

Understandable, I’m sure just holding him will do the trick as well!
