lavender orpingtons

could someone explain or refer me to the right sight for how to get lavender orpingtons...this sounds like a fun project..and i love orpingtons..

I have done the search as well. They are pretty common- if you live in AUSTRALIA! I have had no luck, but can hardly tell the difference between the blue and lavender. I'm going to raise the blue, black, splash for now.....and keep my eyes peeled!

Jody (hinkjc) has a lavender Orp project going now. The lavenders are uniform color all over whereas the regular blues have darker areas, like in the hackles.

crait, the UK and Australia have varieties of birds that we can only dream of reproducing at this point. Lavender has been in that area for the Orpington breed for much longer than it has been in the U.S.
