Lavender silkie egg hatch..

I only had one Lav Silkie egg doing good, until last night. It had stopped developing. I wanted to cry. I am having alot of trouble with her eggs for some reason.

I have 1 more set in from AHappychic will be set on 5/23 and still waiting on these

AHappyChick has lavender silkie eggs?!? She lives about 50 miles fom me... maybe I'll pick up some lav silkie eggs for myself after the coop is done and I get a working incubator....

You still have some cute babies there. I wish I saw this earler. I shipped some test eggs today didn't put know where near that much tape on the box. I will next time.

None of the Lav splits hatched? Isn't hatching so frustrating? I hate to hear that. I hatched one split last night and have 2 more to hatch. They are a Splash breeding though, so they will be harder to work with. But, the chicks are born blue, so I guess they'll be Blue Split to Lav.

Your whites kind of look the color of the whites I just hatched. I thought maybe they were split to Lav, but maybe not. Does have brownish tone? I can't even describe the color of mine. I guess, I'll see what color they are when they get a little older.

kaceek here's a list of breeders that I know have them. Of course myself, Sonew, AHappyChick and Oldtimeagator. The only one I have laying right now is my Buff/Lav split Showgirl Pullet. I have a few of her eggs in the bator to check fertility. My other girls are broody and one is too young to lay yet.

My Lavender birds are from Brens Birds of Paradise and Fawkes Feather Farms. AHappyChick also has some birds from Bren. Not sure where the other breeders stock came from.

I am in lock down today..Only 4 made it from AHapppy chic Great fertility but had about 5 broken air cells and 1 blood ring and a few just stopped developing

I am hoping for at least 1

I won't be home to watch the bator on hatch day..I will be at my DD graduation

Hope I don't cry too much..She's my baby

But I am still waiting for another set sooo still have some hopes

Sorry you didn't get any lavs. I did buy a lav pair but they are only 4 months old right now so we will have to have a few months. PM me for info re: lav eggs
