I hope we can keep him too but I know it is only until he crows. In another year or so we will have 5 or so acres and I will have roosters then. I really want a "flock" of just Golden Campines. I have one hen and she is by far the funniest chicken I have ever seen. I would also love a barred rock "flock" too I love the look of there barring and my friends have br's too and they always lay such nice eggs.

Since the breeder I have been buying my chickens from is such a nice guy I will be able to bring "Shirley" back to him and exchange it for a pullet if I want, then he sells them to someone looking for a rooster!
