Lawn care help needed

Between a brutal Winter and the damage that the chickens did at the end of last Summer, my lawn is in seriously sad shape right now.

Are there any chicken-safe products that I can use to help improve the situation?

Yes. A coop and yard preventing access to the lawn would be a good start. Chickens will excavate any soil they have access to.
